Honghua Su, associate professor, has worked at Yangzhou University, Jiangsu province, China since 2008. Her research focuses on the effect of transgenic crops on non-target insects. Before coming to Yangzhou University, she worked for Syngenta (Beijing) and was responsible for transgenic crop field trials and government regulatory affairs. From September 2003 to July 2006, she conducted the research on the molecular mechanism of odor detection for Helicoverpa armigera and got a Ph.D degree in Plant Protection Institute of China Academy of Agricultural Sciences(CAAS). From September 2001 to July 2003, thanks to a great interest in English learning, she taught English in Hebei Technology & Normal College. From September 1995 to July 2001, she studied Plant Protection at Shenyang Agricultural University and obtained a masters degree in agricultural insects and pest control.
